Plasticair was founded in 1980 By the late Richard Sixsmith, who was an innovative inventor and an expert in the Manufacture of Fiberglass and Thermoplastic Ventilation Equipment. Richard was trained in England and moved to Canada in 1974 when he was invited to join the Fiberglass fabrication division of a multi-national, and became General Manager in 1976. In 1980, the Multi-national closed several cash intensive divisions, including the plastics division. This decision allowed Plasticair Inc. to be formed to complete residual contracts and to continue without conflict. In 1998, Richard Sixsmith retired, Paul Sixsmith took over the role of President. With current headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, we are proud that our operations have grown our sales by more than 25 times since the 1980s, and we have maintained our original client base while expanding into new areas worldwide. Plasticair has developed and registered seven successful patents and continues innovation with two new applications of patent pending. Our Engineering staff are continuously breaking ground on value construction, utilizing composites and getting these designs out to our customers.
