Copperstone Technologies (CST) offers Autonomous Amphibious Robots for environmental monitoring. CSTs robots can work in harsh environments where it is dangerous, risky and costly to send human workers. Using the amphibious robot technologies, CST offers companies the means to autonomously monitor areas affected by mining operations (tailings) in a cost-effective, efficient, and safer manner. CSTs robots allow for characterization of difficult environments and soil sampling. They are used for bathymetric surveys, measuring soil properties, and geotechnical investigations.
Additionally, CSTs robots allow seed broadcasting, seedling planting, and other reclamation services on historically inaccessible locations. The original Amphibious Rover 1 was transformed into a second version capable of performing industry-standard testing such as cone penetrometer, vane shear, and sampling on regular bitumen tailings to support the large manned barges currently used in the industry. Since then, Copperstone has expanded its robotics offerings to include the Pangolin for metal mine tailings monitoring and reclamation.
Cypher Environmental supplies significant cost-saving solutions for better management of access and haul road networks, in the form of non-toxic, biodegradable, environmentally friendly dust control and soil stabilization solutions. Our products, Dust Stop and EarthZyme, are applicable using standard equipment found at any mine site and can be used to improve existing and new road infrastructure. Dust Stop is also widely used to cap tailings and stock piles to prevent erosion from wind and rain while reducing dust. Cyphers solutions offer lower life cycle costing than traditional methods. For example, where Dust Stop has been applied to roads to reduce dust emissions, mine water consumption has been reduced by as much as 85% and costs reduced accordingly due to less fuel burn to maintain these roads. EarthZyme is utilized to incorporate the use of marginal engineering inputs to enable the construction of roads at a fraction of the cost of traditional road building methods. Overall, these technologies offer unique solutions to access and haul road management that help reduce operational costs.
Da-Lee Dust Control specializes in dust suppression and road base stabilization on unpaved roads, parking lots, and horse arenas. We also supply Liquid Calcium Chloride for use in ready mix concrete, wastewater treatment and as a liquid deicer on paved roads in winter. Our mobile treated salt mixing effectively blends road salt to any specification using a state- of-the-art pugmill operation.
